Firstly I wanted to share a long awaited welcome video with you.
People make videos look so easy but it's not as easy as all that. Well done to those who put themselves out there online every day - here's hoping that it gets easier!
A welcome video from me, Lucie, at Book Bubble on New Years Day 2023.
Reflections
Last night I sat and scribbled out some goals for the year ahead - keeping them short and manageable being my main challenge!
Reading more is always in the mix as it never fails to make me happier and, this year, I am trialling weekend only TV watching in the hope that it frees up more time for reading in the week....I'll let you know how it goes.
My current read is 'A Spool of Blue Thread' by Anne Tyler - an author that I think is going to become a firm favourite.
Have you got a reading wish list for the year? I'd love to hear what you have planned and what you are reading now as the New Year starts.
Have you got any other reading goals? Here are some ideas from us to inspire you
1. Discover more books Discover new titles and step out of your comfort zone. Step into a non-demand culture buy buying what is available.
2. Make time to read Reading can promote wellness and encourage you to set aside time to rest offering benefits to health and productivity.
3. Save money Try a year of only buying second hand books. With Book Bubble there is no/very little compromise on your reading experience and condition of the book compared to new.
4. Help the planet Buy from independent booksellers. Get slower, less frequent deliveries. Choose companies investing in recyclable packaging
